Many companies that have decided to just allow users to upload content without policing it will be facing a new challenge.
Article 13 is the EU’s initiative to protect copyrights on the internet. It only took 30 years for the laws to catch up but this will be a nice earner for a number of lawyers.
Platforms such as Facebook and YouTube will face a real struggle if this is heavily enforced and this could be the final nail in the coffin for SoundCloud.
